Farmhouse Roof Replacement & Solar Installation – St Merryn, Cornwall

This project involves the complete replacement of a traditional farmhouse roof in St Merryn, Cornwall. The existing roof has been stripped and renewed using premium Brazilian Grey-Green slate, chosen for its durability, weather resistance, and timeless appearance that complements the character of the property.

As part of the renovation, a fully integrated 12kW solar PV system is being installed within the roof structure, providing a clean and efficient renewable energy solution while maintaining the aesthetic integrity of the building. The system is paired with a 13kWh battery storage unit, allowing the property to maximise self-generated energy and reduce reliance on the grid.

The project combines traditional roofing craftsmanship with modern energy technology, delivering a high-performance roofing system designed to protect the property for decades while significantly improving its energy efficiency and sustainability.
