Rag Slate

Rag slate is a costly and time consuming option as each slate has to be cut to size. This slate is best suited to traditional buildings such as barns or farmhouses. Although costly, it is very hard wearing and can last up to 150 years. Finding rag slate is becoming ever more difficult as it is no longer quarried and can only be found on existing buildings.

More information about Rag Slate is just being collated and written and should be added here shortly please come back soon or give us a call to find out more about its origin and which type of property would best suit using this type of slate on its roof.
